Hello, this blog is somewhere for me to record snippets of family life as these boys of mine grow up. Time flies,so the saying goes and I want to save some of my precious memories and this seems a good way to do it. I want this blog to be a happy place so much of what I post on here will be the nice stuff of life, that's not to say it is all blue skies and sunshine here but just that I choose to make the happy times recordable

Dear So And So
Dear Felt Tips,
Arghhh just what do you think you are doing!!!!
Out of the goodness of my heart I let you go to school with my youngest son and how do you repay me!?!
You write on brand new school shirts!
HOW DARE YOU!!!!!
I'am soooooooooooooo cross with you!
You are now BANNED from school until you learn to write on paper.
To the cupboard you go and DON'T come out !
from a very angry mummy!

Dear School Water Bottle,
I do not want to seem unkind but I'm beginning to wonder what your point is!
Every day I fill you with fresh water and put you in a plastic bag in my sons school bag.
Every day you come back untouched.
So then I wash you again, rinse you out, dry you, freeze the middle bit of you that keeps you cool.
Then next morning it all begins again!
Why?
Is this not madness?
Please let me know...what is the point of you?
From a puzzled mum

Dear Boys Who Play Rugby,
Why do you have to be so rough?
I would like my middle son to stay in one piece thank you!
Preferably with all his body parts intact!
And as for the state of his rugby shirt! The collar is ripped off!
And I'm supposed to mend that am I ?
Grr!
From a worried Mum

Dear Mind,
You can do this.
Only 5 school days till half term!
Keep pushing on,it will all be ok!
From a optimistic owner

This is my first time I have linked up and done on Reasons To Be Cheerful,I've seen lots of people do it though and I think it's always good to count your blessings so here goes;
1. My youngest son can be so positive ~ he was so excited to see his sunflower coming into bloom earlier this week.Such a simple thing but his enthusiasm was lovely to see and it did make me smile.
2. I'm loving the new books I found my youngest son this week.We will be spoilt for choice at bedtime this week :-)
3. My mum had her 66th birthday this week, having healthy parents around is always a reason to be cheerful
4. This a backward upside down RTBC! My youngest is poorly with a sore throat and temp and I'm just glad to be at home too look after him and not at work. Ive wrapped him up in a blankie and am giving him lots of tlc.
5. And lastly, the weather is beautiful again, bright sunshine and clear blue skies and that makes me very cheerful!

Things I Know
Oh what do I know this week!
I know I'm finding it hard to comment on your blog Shae ( me being technologically challenged again ),so please don't think I'm rude never leaving a comment,Im still in the process of trying!I will do it!If I can work out how to get a badge I must surely find a way to comment! It will be done :-)
I know that my youngest son's transition to junior school has not been easy. This is wearing us down.Every day there is a new problem and half term cannot come quick enough for me or him!
I know that when things are on your mind it is hard to focus on everyday things.
I know I'm really tired.
I know I'm going to think of some positive things to say now!
I know that my mum had a lovely birthday party this week and it was nice to see my nephews and niece together, I know that families are very important for sure.
I know that the weather is really changing and darker nights are drawing in. I like the dark nights though, I like to sit with the boys all safe inside and look out at the darkness outside - strange but true!
I know that felt tip stains do come out of white shirts - woohoo!
What I don't know is why a certain child keeps purposely writing on his shirts with felt tip - any suggestions gratefully received!
Go and visit Shae's blog, its Yay For Home and see what other things people know!

Making A Birthday Card For Mamma
It was my mums birthday this week,so I decided to make her card with Chipmunk.
I thought being as it was Autumn we would go with a autumnal theme and do leaf printing in Autumn colours.
It did not turn out as I imagined at all,but great fun was had and I think my mum liked it!
First we collected some leaves. The day was rainy so we had to dry them out first

then we choose our paints

I mixed some paint with glue so the glitter would stick because I imagined delicate golden leaf prints inbetween bright painted leaf prints ~ Hee!
Then the printing began

After each attempt me and Chipmunk would look at it and puzzle wether it looked like a leaf or not

Then for the glitter

Chipmunk put plenty of glitter on!
And this was our finished result ~ ta da

It wasn't quite what I had envisaged but we had a fantastic time making it and we laughed so much!
And do you know, when it was on the shelf with all the other birthday cards it looked lovely and I felt really rather proud of it!

WOT SO FUNEE
Im linking up with Actually Mummy to do Wots So Funee.
This is where you can share all those funny things your children say or write, pop across to Actually Mummy's blog and have a chuckle when you read what the kids have been saying this week.
For this weeks Wot So Funee I'm talking about my youngest sons use of the letters "in''
He uses these sounds instead of ex usually and here's a list of cute words;
Insgusting instead of disgusting
Insplosion instead of explosion
Inavailable instead of unavailable
The motor bike rider Espargaro is Inspagaro
There must be more but we can't think of them at the moment.
Just a little thing but it makes me and his brothers grin.
