2 Minute Memory
Train Spotting
This was a precious 2 minute memory... a bench,me and my boy and the anticipation of a train coming!
On our walk we had spotted several trains on the other side of the pond and Chips had yelled out 'Train' every time he spotted one.
We approached the clearing where the train tracks lay and peeked over the fence
there were no trains to be seen whatsoever!
Aha!There was a bench with a table though,so we plonked ourselves down and sat with our legs swinging to talk about trains.
I told Chips why train lines were so dangerous and he spotted a man walking across the train tracks and it was so nice just sat there. The birds were singing and we were just so relaxed and happy in the lovely warm spring sunshine.Around us ducks were quacking and all seemed well with the world.
I knew at this moment that this was special, just one of those times where you snuggle up with someone you love dearly and just be
And then it happened!I heard a train horn and as I yelled 'train' Chipmunk saw it and yelled out 'train'
And the train zoomed past us,on it's way to the city
We were so happy. It doesn't take much to make me and Chips happy!Just being together really.Long may that continue!
So now we have a bench on which to train watch!I can see many picnics being eaten on that bench....bring it on....
