Six Word Saturday
My six words are:
Fun On The Beach This Week
On Monday we spent the day at the beach
We had a fab time playing in the sea, digging on the beach, making sandcastles, burying people in holes, carrying water from the sea to make moats, throwing frisbies, all the usual family beach stuff.
Putting my feet in slopdosh sand! |
Paddling in the sea |
It was a great day and so lovely to be at the seaside.
I love the sea

We did something similar on Tuesday. Hope it didn't rain on you :)
ReplyDeleteAmazingly it 'didn't' rain, for once! And that gave us a dry day for some beachy fun :-)
DeleteThe beach is always a nice day.
ReplyDeleteI agree Wayne,I do adore the beach
DeleteMy Beloved Sandra goes & enjoys. I sometimes accompany, but I've never really developed anything more than a mere (and short-lived) tolerance.
ReplyDeleteWhys that then?Is it the messiness of sand that puts you off?I just find it such a interesting environment, sand, water, seashells, rock pools, the noise of the waves.Im obviously a convert :-)
DeleteHi Jess ~~ This looks like it was a fun day for all! I am glad you got your feet wet. My kids said it was 80°F one day this week in London. Bet the water was still cold though.

Hello Jim,hope you have had a good week :-) yes the water WAS cold and a bit murky to be honest but it was my chance to go in the sea so I grabbed it and in I went.
DeleteThe boys had a fab day out and that always makes my day happy. Its been hot here too although not as hot as London, that does sound sticky

DeleteCan't beat a paddle when it's hot! (I'm not much of a swimmer) And drawing pictures on the sand with sticks.
ReplyDeletePaddling is ace, isn't it!I wouldn't swim in the sea,I'm not that kinda swimmer! But paddling, well that is another matter :-) and my middle boy did write with a stick in the sand,I think it was a rude message about his bro,you know what boys are like!
Deletegreat picture... and I love the ocean... I just wish it didn't have so darn much sand!
ReplyDeleteThat's made me laugh Brenda!Yepthere sure is plenty of sand on the beach!Sharky said he had read that there is a grain of sand for every star in the sky.I wasn't convinced myself but it's a nice thought
DeleteI am so very fortunate to live by the sea....who doesn't love the ocean!?
ReplyDeleteOh Joanne Iam SO jealous that you live by the sea! That must be fab.Do you make the most of it?
DeleteI love the beach...beautiful pictures, looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteHow I envy you having a beach within driving distance, for us it is a much longer trek and I do so love being there! It sounds like a lovely family time and good memories made! :-)
