Six Word Saturday

My six words for this week are

Christmas all finished - Back to school

We had a lovely Christmas and I'm sad to see it go

And I'm even sadder to see the boys back at school

I like it when they are at home

Safe where I can see them

On a positive note....

Its only 5 more weeks until half term

Woohoo!

Six Word Saturday

Patience Needed But Worth The Effort

This week Chipmunk and I made a advent chain

Read about that here

It was a fiddly job and patience was needed

But

On December 1st Chipmunk leaped out of bed and excitedly undid one link on his chain

All by himself

Even before he ate his chocolate Advent Calendar!

That has got to equal success!

So all the preparation, time and effort was worth it!

Here is our chain
Its very long at the moment
I liked the idea so much I made some with the nursery children too.

There are such a good bunch of people who join in with this...I love it!

And for everybody who commented on my Advent Calender 6WS its working a treat!

That piece of choc a day may be small but its powerful!

And I'm loving it!

Six Word Saturday

I couldn't choose between these two sentence's this week

Got Swim Cap,Now Can Swim

And

'' I Totally Saw Him '' Santa Claus

The swim cap has been worrying me for a while. Without it my youngest could get another ear infection and I have been advised by doctors to avoid water getting in his ears.

But he doing so well at swimming and he does not want to stop going.

Nobody in his swimming class wears caps and I worried it would single him out and make him feel different.

But sometimes children surprise you and my son wears the hat proudly and absolutely loves it!

Am I relieved, on all scores!

Swim hats rule!!

And the Santa comment came when we went to see our towns Christmas lights turn on.

My son spotted a flash of red in the crowds and shouted out

'' I saw Santa! I totally saw him!''

That was such a sweet moment it melted my heart!

Six Word Saturday

No Pegs Until Spring,Radiators Only

Yes its that time of year again, where the washing has to be dried inside.

I do put some in the tumble dryer but the majority gets dried on the radiators.

I love to peg washing out and get it dried outside but as the days get damper and mistier, its just not going to happen.

So welcome inside washing!

Six Word Saturday

This week my magic six words are:

Grown up enough to buy Fireworks!
My youngest son does not like bangs and loud noises but wants to join in the excitement of bonfire night.

So I have found a selection of quiet fireworks on sale at our local supermarket.
Tonight after having his ears checked at the doctors ( they are now all ok,thanks everyone for asking ) we popped along to buy some fireworks.

And even more than buying alcohol it seemed such a grown up thing to do!Buy fireworks!

I half expected them to say
''No only grown ups can buy fireworks!''

Madness I know but its just how I feel!

Six Word Saturday
This weeks six words go as follows and everybody in our house would have to smile, nod their heads and agree!

Totally And Utterly All Kerplunked Out!

To explain further Kerplunk is a game.
You have straws and marbles and you have to carefully remove the straws without the marbles falling. The person with the most marbles loses.

You have to have a steady hand and infinite patience to set it up,especially first thing in a morning!

It takes 15minutes to set it up ( actually I'm so good at this now,it probably takes much less ) and 2 minutes to play!

But my youngest son loves it!

And we have had to stick inside because of his ear infection,so all week we have played Kerplunk!

And that is why I'm all Kerplunked out!

Good fun though and lots of laughs, squeals and fun had!
