Little Spook #5
"So you have come at last" cackled the witch " Nice to have you home" Little Spook didn't wait a moment,she undid the magical potion that she had stolen from the ogre and threw it all over the witch while chanting these magic words;
You shall,not,fill us with fear,
I will banish you away from here,
With this potion,you will grow and never stop,
Until you explode with a almighty pop!
As she did so the witch began to swell up,bigger and bigger,until she was like a giant witchy balloon,she started to float above the ground and as she did so Scamp reached out a claw and pop went the witch,bits of her were scattered all over the village,there was just no way she could ever be put back together again,the witch was well and truly dead.
At that precise moment all the doors of the cages sprang open and all the captured animals were set free and returned to their proper owners,the sweet shop sweeties all disappeared and were replaced with normal sweets - Mars Bars,Lollipops,Harribos,all was well again
You see,witches never prosper and good always defeats bad,Little Spook and Scamp travelled back home and lived happily ever after,in their cosy home,with their little family and nobody ever needed to be scared again.

Tah-dah!
Oh Little Spook you have been on my mind all week!I only started you as a six sentence story to join in with Josies linky and you turned into young Chips bedtime story for the week! He has so enjoyed it though and that makes it all worth while. I'm still going to link it up to Josies
Six Sentence Stories hope its suitable Josie,your prompt turned into a mega lot of six sentences!

What a truly delightful tale, Jess! I can just imagine how much Chips looked forward to the next installment each night, nothing beats a homespun story in the eyes of a child! I'm betting he'll remember Little Spook long after he has grown past the age of children's stories. Don't be surprised if he tells it or something similar to his own children some day! Such a fun addition to our Halloween Six Sentence Stories, can't wait to see what you'll bring to share with us next week! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh Josie,Im glad you liked it.I read your prompt last Sunday night and the story began and that was it,Little Spook was born!I had to kill the witch stone cold dead though as I realised that Chips needed to see good conquer evil!One of my favourite bits was when I was lying in bed reading chapter 2 to Chips,I got to the bit about the chocolate mice being real mice and scurrying around and Chips let out such a heartfelt little exclamation,I just knew then, that he was so involved in the story that I had done something right!
DeleteI hope he does remember Little Spook...infact I think she may make a reappearance at Christmas :-) we shall see!I think it is a nice thing to tell made up stories,it shows children just what can be done when you play with words. thank you for hosting such a fun linky x
Make it a book, just for your little one. A humble home printer will do. That will be a great gift for Christas - a book made especially for him ;o)
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea Abelle,I think I'm going to do it!Thank you for commenting :-)
ReplyDeleteAs I am new to Josie's six sentence post site I missed the earlier chapters so had to catch up. This was a delightful tale and full of adventures that will surely please the little ones. Well done.

DeleteGreat story, I think Chip might have had second thoughts about eating his candy, thinking it might have been a witch's cat! I would have thought that! Great story, I really enjoyed reading it, good job!
